Photo essay: the color yellow

Every month I set a small photography-related project for myself. Last month was to shoot a roll of film with a cheap camera. This month was to collect a group of photos around the color yellow. I anticipated sharing 12 photos but ended up with only seven that I liked.

I chose the color yellow because it’s Spring here in the northern hemisphere and yellow reminds me of the spring flowers that sometimes shoot up out of the snow or dead grass to remind us that winter hasn’t won, the world will be reborn again.

Next month’s project will be 12 black and white photos from within one block of my house. Stay tuned.
